Parallax ideas

The Pacific:
Reasons that i would like to use this image in my motion graphics work as there is a lot to animate in this image, making it more interesting. In this image i could animate both the people in the image, the rubble and the smoke.

Band of Brothers:
I want to use this image as it follows the theme as the rest of the images, there is also a lot to animate in this image as i could modify both the soldiers and the guns.

Saving Private Ryan:
I want to use this image as it looks very dramatic and unlike the other images focuses the viewers attention on one particular spot. In this image i could change the positioning of the camera as the image is very good quality, i would also move the gun and the actors hand slightly.

Game Of Thrones:
I want to use this image as it is an iconic image for people who have previously watched the TV show game of thrones. This image is completely different from the rest of the images i want to use to create a parallax. In this image i would want to animate the flying shrapnel, the guards closer to the image, and parts of the explosion.

Lord of The rings - Two Towers:
I want to use this image because there is a clear difference between the foreground and the background, this wants be to make a parallax using this image because it would be easy to make and animate without it looking to complex as otherwise
too much would be going on at the same time and it would look too messy.

Fight Club:

I want to use this image as it is very iconic to the film and most people have seen the film and would recognise, this image also has a very dark background and would be easy to cover it over when animating one of the characters. I would also try to change the camera angle, getting it to pan slightly to the right, and because the image is a very large resolution this could be done while still focusing the attention on a certain point on the image.

The Walking Dead:
I want to use this image as a lot like the Saving Private Ryan image i would have already done a similar image hence making it easy to do. In this image i would move the actors gun and partly move the camera angle to add more depth to the shot.

Snatch:
I want to use this image as it a completely different shot from all the other images i am planning on using, In this image i will modify the movement of both the Gun, and the three characters in the shot.

V for Vendetta:
One of the reasons that i want to use this image is because it looks very mysterious and in comparison to the other images is a lot simpler. In this image i will plan on animating the head and both hands and knives. This image would also be quite easy to edit as the background and foreground stand out a lot.

Game of Thrones:
I chose this image as so far i only have one other close up image from the pictures i plan on making. For this image in particular i will animate the sword and Sean Bean's face ,
making the image seem more three dimensional.

Gladiator:
I chose to use this image as it is a very high quality film making the image a very high quality. When editing this image the background is very clear and would be easy to edit in for slight head movements, that are what i would plan on doing in this image.

DVD Interfaces

DVD Interfaces:

Gladiator:
For the film Gladiator the DVD interface is a lot like the majority of films, showing several scenes and locations from the films to get the viewer into the mood for the film and also so they know what kind of film to expect. The buttons on the menu appear in this after several other scenes have already been teased and the film name Gladiator has scrolled across the screen, making the opening of the menu seem more interesting with more going on at once. During this at the bottom of the screen fades in and back out the titles the main character has throughout the film. The main theme from gladiator is also playing in the background over this, that is a very recognisable song from the trailer, thus making viewers all the more excited to watch the film. Therefore making the response at the end of the film more positive. The Colour scheme that is used on the menu is also quite dull and gritty, reflecting the theme of the film. The font of the buttons is in a very old fashioned font, representing the time the film is set in, and is in white contrasting from the background. When the title gladiator comes onto the screen it eventually after spreading out cover the whole top half of the screen, keeping the name of the film- gladiator stuck in your head, making it more memorable.

James Bond Casino Royale
The main colour scheme for this film menu is black and white, creating a nostalgic feeling when viewing the menu, making people look back to the older bond films, with this the text for the menu is all in a white font with black outlines, like the filter on the menu scenes preventing it from mixing with the background. Whereas in the menu the option that is being highlighted is a light blue font, making it stand out from the background and be more user friendly as it would be easier to read. Over the top of the menu the main Casino Royale theme is playing, that mixed in with the shots of Bond changes the feel of the film a lot more as this makes the film feel a lot darker, due not just to the black and white filter but also the very gritty style of the movie. The scenes that have been chosen for the background in the menu are mostly all very stereotypically Bond- like, showing him adjusting his cuff links, and close up shots of his Aston martin, that is the car Bond is famous for driving. It also shows close ups of each of the main characters, showing Both Bond, the villain, M and the Bond girl.

Motion Graphics Idea Generation

Football:
Will mainly show goalkeeper saves, and strikers going for goal- shot from in front. The Target audience would be football fans, hence the audience would mainly be male people above the age of 10 years old. This would appeal to older people also as it will show players who would have been playing years ago, to add nostalgia to the older age ranges.

Old 'Legendary' Players- Pele, Gray, Best

War films/ TV
-Band of Brothers
-The Pacific
-Saving Private Ryan
-Enemy at the Gates
-Inglorious Bastards
-The Hurt Locker
The purpose of this is to show how brutal war can be as Band of Brothers- some of the inspiration behind this is based on a true story and real people. The main target audience for this would be men of the age of 18+. This would show images like explosions with flying shrapnel, bullets and very extreme environments with lost going on at the same time to make the parallax more interesting.
Parallax Ideas:
Pull trigger
Walking/ running/ Diving
Explosion- Shrapnel/ dirt
Bullet + Bullet coming out of a gun
Tank/ jeep movement
Sniper
Jet/ fighter/Bomber
Helicopter

Fantasy/ Adventure film/Tv
-Lord of The Rings
-Game of Thrones
-The Hobbit
-Pans Labyrinth
-Hunger Games
Seen as four, from 5 of these shows and films were based on books- Game of Thrones, Lord of the rings The Hobbit and The hunger games, the target audience would be aimed towards the book fans and also fans of the genre, that would be mixed genders from the age of 18. The only film that wasn't based entirely on a book, Pan's Labyrinth but was inspired by the book Brothers Grimm. This series of parallax would show parallaxes of the blackwater and wildfire scenes from game of thrones, shelob from Lord of the rings, and chases from The hunger games and The Hobbit.
Parallax ideas:
Battles- Lord of the Rings, Game of thrones, The hobbit
Lord of The Rings- Shelob, Ghosts, Elephant
Game of Thrones- Wildfire, Hound + Dundarrion fight, Dragons
The Hobbit- The Beast chase, Spiders, Giants,
Hunger Games- Bow, Axe training-Catching fire, Ape chase-Catching fire

Final Idea:
The theme of this idea if based all around conflict, as it gives me the chance to merge two of the three subjects that i wanted to do. The way i will portray this is that i want to make it look very gritty and realistic, in the aspect of Game of Thrones despite the fantasy setting i want to make it realistic to the world that it is in. This theme would have a very large and varied target audience, that would mainly be based around men aged 18+. When using images from shows such as band of brothers, seen as it is based on a real company and real people is one of the reasons why i would like to keep it looking realistic and gritty, so there is not a massive distraction or juxtaposition. The purpose of this is to show how violent and how far war/ violence can go.

I chose this idea because it has an incredibly varied range of parallaxes that i can create, with more films/ series to choose from, hence allowing everybody the chance to relate to it in one way or another. Furthermore this allows me to use more iconic characters in them, thus for some creating a nostalgic feel from the parallax with not just the scenes that i use but also the soundtrack i use over them, following the iconic soundtracks from shows and films such as band of brothers and saving private ryan.
Another reason i chose this theme to base my parallaxes around is because in each of the images there is a lot to animate in them as well as a lot of chances to alternate the camera angles; making the images as interesting to look at as possible. An advantage with doing this theme is that there were not any technological constraints, with each image i wanted to use available on the internet and in high resolutions allowing me to create the parallaxes with no sudden increase or decrease in quality and size.

Before publishing this i will make sure that the series of parallaxes does not offend anybody and i will also state that i a not trying to gain any profit from the production of this and also make sure that if i do take any archive images or take any images for the use of this i will make sure that either the producer of subjects of the image have been informed that i am using the image and i will ask permission if i can use the image if when i do. I will also make sure that if i use any sound or music also i will ask for permission from the original producer to use their work, so everyone knows that the production is for entertainment/ educational purposes only.

I will be using youtube as my medium of delivery seen as it is easy to use and is free to upload to. Some advantages of uploading it to Youtube are that after uploading a video to youtube it is very easy to distribute as you would only have to send someone the URL for them to be able to go to the page. When uploading to youtube you can also easily add a description so you can state that you don't mean to use any of the images that you have used from the Internet to make any profit. You can also upload to youtube in HD as well so you can get the best possible quality image as it allows uploads in 720 and 1080p at 30fps.
